The video game Doors to Perception is a playable interpretation of the visual world of polish artist Zdsislaw Beksinski. The game experiment offers fantastical interactive settings which players can explore through a VR–supported first-person perspective.
The 2-dimensional paintings were rebuilt and transported into a 3-dimensional virtual world in which players can walk around. To enhance the immersion, the game will feature VR-headset support.
Doors to Perception is developed by a team of the master course Game Design at the University of Applied Science in Hamburg.
The project is supervised by professor Ralf Hebecker.
